  2. I'm sorry you didn't! It was really beautiful, and I'm so sad that it ended up going for so little in a house sale.

    It's a large watercolour and ink drawing, rather than the oils I use in my landscape paintings now. I used to go out sketching in Glasgow in the Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, so my materials had to be portable. It's an exercise in observation, mark-making and materials, but I was a bit limited by the fact that I had to balance my board on my lap, perched on a little stool, with my paints on the floor, whilst people stopped and peered over my shoulder and asked questions!
